I got my hair cut off yesterday. :) Previously, it was down to about the middle of my back; now it's at the middle of my neck. I am so very happy to have it cut. I've been wanting to get it cut for a few months now, but I had decided I would give it to Locks of Love, a non-profit organization that helps provide hairpieces for children. I went in to a salon in November but she suggested I come back in a couple of weeks to make sure it was long enough. Then it was holidays, and I decided I would keep it long for my work's winter gala so I could have an updo. Consequently, it is only now being cut off. It is such a relief to have it short!
My mom is currently in Nicaragua on a mission trip with her church. She emailed today and said it is absolutely beautiful there! This is the second time she's gone to Nicaragua, but the first time she was in more of a desert region, and this time they are in more of a mountain/jungle area. My mom got her passport a few years ago and is now hooked on traveling. So far she has been to Ukraine (to see the country of her grandchildren's heritage) and Nicaragua. Like daughter, like mother. :)
