Mark and I have been married since June of 1999. We've lived in Texas, Michigan, and now Missouri. Our two little boys came home in December 2007, our first two little girls came home in May 2009, and our new little girls came home in March 2011--all from Ukraine. We don't know if God is finished with our family yet or not, but we're happy to follow His plan wherever He may take us. Join us on this journey through adoption, parenthood, and beyond!
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
Actually, I only cut the back of Danielle's hair. It was really stringy and not very nice looking, so I chopped it off and trimmed her bangs just enough that she could see. It really did make a big difference though and I think it looks much better without the stringy tendrils. I am trying to keep her from looking too much like a boy. :)
Seeing all these pictures makes me happy - especially the one of the four of them at the kitchen table. I am so glad you have a beautiful, spacious new house for all of you. :) (I'm sure the doggies like their new digs too.)
Lovely pictures. Btw, I never got the chance to tell you how sorry I am about your daughter's cleft palate. Sorry in that it is going to be a tougher road for all of you-- and I know how hard it is to desire the best outcome for our children only to be told that things are different. But, I know that she is strong, and thriving and will be just fine.... Dennis is doing os well despite the extra challenges that have come up!
Didn't know if you have seen this story about an adoption from Ukraine yet! It is really interesting, and I am glad that you didn't have as many troubles as they did! The kids are cute!
Beautiful kids! If I had not read back to the beginning I would say you got a set of blonde and a set of brunette siblings - not 2 brothers and 2 sisters!
Aha! I see about the haircut!! It's kind of hard to see from the pictures. Hopefully, her hair will grow in nice and thick and pretty, now that she is getting good nutrition. :o) (I remember when I was 5 my mom cut my long, wavy almost-white hair off. She'd HAD IT with my screaming every time she'd try and brush it! It looks SO MUCH cuter short!!)
