Still no internet

I was hoping this post would be stating that we have internet access, but no luck. My computer is completely refusing to cooperate. We'll keep trying, but until then the posting will be short and sporadic.

We've been able to visit the boys regularly and things are going well. They've started testing the boundaries and heard "nyet" (Russian for no) quite a bit today. Might as well get started on discipline early! :)

In regards to recent prayer requests:
--the grandmother: at some point in time she had guardianship of the boys and voluntarily gave that up. Because of that and some other things, the judge is not allowing her to interfere with the adoption as he feels it is in the boys' best interest to be adopted and out of the orphanage. There are a few other things associated with that that I'm not going to post at this time, but it looks like all of that will work out for the adoption to proceed.
--the HS addendum: we contacted our SW and she was able to do the addendum immediately! :) She sent it to the local BCIS office yesterday by fax and mail. We have been trying to get in touch with the BCIS office to make sure they have received it and move forward on it quickly. Prayers for the quick approval and forwarding to the Embassy are much appreciated!

Thank you all so much for your thoughts, comments, and prayers. There are many things we simply haven't had time to share that clearly demonstrate God's presence in this adoption. Please continue to pray for our time with the boys and the development of those relationships. We will not be visiting them tomorrow but should be there Friday and Saturday. We are loving our time in Ukraine and are having a lot of fun--way more than we expected! :)

I'm so glad you are having fun despite the grandmother and BCIS issues! Good job parenting the boys - it's a great idea to start on discipline right now!

Train up a child (especially a boy! LOL) in the way he should go - and start it from the get-go - and when he is old, he will not depart from it. (An old mama's paraphrase)

Boys are great - and they need discipline. Glad to know you're not afraid to begin teaching/training them right away!

Glad to hear the judge is willing to move forward. Will continue to pray over the BCIS thing. There is a huge ice storm here that really has the midwest bogged down. It should start clearing up tomorrow and hopefully you'll have some answers to things by then. I'm praying!

Also glad to know you're having fun. I can't wait to meet your Alex and Tim someday soon.

So glad to see that it doesn't look like there is going to be a problem concerning the grandmother. Also, that you are seeing the hand of God in this!

I'm so glad things are going well for you. We had a great time in Ukraine too, despite the cold weather. Once you get the stressful SDA appointment out of the way and meet your children, it's such a relief that you can't help but enjoy yourself

Yay!!!
I'm so excited. I actually found out that a girl in one of my classes was adopted from the same region that your boys are from, small world. Everyone on this end is praying for you and can't wait to see pictures of the newest Olmsteds!
