Success!

We have power! Of course, I resorted to crying on the phone with the electric company, but hey, whatever works, right? The last time I called (this afternoon) the customer service agent told me the service would be on "tomorrow" and I just lost it. I've been a wee bit stressed and I just broke down. I did keep my composure long enough to ask to speak to a manager, but I'm pretty sure she could already tell I was on the verge of tears.

It worked--we're back in business. :) :)

And...

Our dossier has been shipped!!! Hooray!! Plus, since our facilitator this time lives in Kyiv, we were able to ship through the USPS instead of FedEx. Much cheaper and we still get to track it. I'll keep you posted as I follow our paper packet around the world.

Lots of people have been asking "what next?" Well, now we wait. Some more. ;) Here's a breakdown of what needs to happen:

Our dossier makes it to Kyiv
Our facilitator translates it and finds it to be mistake-free
Our dossier is submitted to the SDA
The SDA accepts it and gives us a travel date
We go get the girls! :) :)

YAY!!! Getting that dossier off to the facilitator is an awesome feeling! We'll be praying for it to quickly (and safely) travel around the world! ;>)
And as far as the tears...God gave them to us for a reason, this time they just helped you get the lights turned on. ;)

A double dose of wonderful news!!!! I am so super happy for you for the power to be turned on (there's not shame in crying after all you've been through) and for your dossier to be on it's way.
We are rejoicing with you and will continue to pray for all that is in the works for y'all!

Thanks for sharing the great news! I continue to pray for you guys. (Oh, and "power tears" never hurt anyone, right?? I loved it!)

Thank you so much for your comment. Your input is so very helpful. My daughter can't pronounce the f sound, she substitutes it with the s sound, the street name we happen to live starts with an f. I can definitely use that as an unintelligible in an emergency reason.
Thank you.

And thank you for adopting from Ukraine it makes me so happy to see people doing it more frequently now, I wish we could, but in this financial situation we are lucky to just survive ourselves. I do think about it a lot, we are young, so maybe in a few years we can afford to do it.
God Bless.

I wanted to follow your blog, but could not see the followers window:(

Woohoo! So glad to hear things are moving along.

By the way, it's always fun to "run into you" on MSM. Several times I've read a comment and thought of you and sure enough, it was you!
