We got it!

Our 171H arrived yesterday, meaning we have been cleared by the US government to adopt from Ukraine!

What does that really mean? It means our dossier could be in Ukraine in 2 weeks!!

Mark has his physical on Monday and will get our medical forms then. Those are the last two pieces of paper we need from other people. Then we'll take everything to be notarized and apostilled (the Secretary of State office will notarize documents for free if they are going to be apostilled!) and then we'll ship the whole packet to Ukraine.

And then we wait. :)

BTW - If you email me at six sunflower seeds @ yahoo dot com I'll give you the name and contact info for the apartment we stayed at in Kiev. It is a little further out of the city center...but it is SO cheap AND comfortable, the extra time on the subway is absolutely worth it! :)

How exciting! Congrats! I sure wish we were as far along as you. We are submitting our I-600A petition next Wednesday if all continues to go well. And then the rest of the paper chase continues! :-)

You'll be meeting your girls so soon!

WOW!!!! I love that document - it was the first time that our dreams of adopting a child really seemed "real" like this may actually happen! I get a great discount on mailing at work - I think my last package via UPS was $16 and it arrived in 4 business days!!! (Just no discount on FEDEX to Ukraine). So let me know if you want me to ship for you. Also we never found your CD but when I went to order a new one --- they now make one in Ukrainian and Russian!!! I had them ship it directly to your house so you should see it within the next few days. If/When I find the original one, I will send it back as well for you to add to your "travel box" for the next parents. We are so proud of you for your determination to follow God's calling.

PS - Garretts surgery is today :-)

YAY! You are going to be one busy woman this year but getting things done quickly sure beats the dragged out process of last time. Praying for you guys!!!
